The Vampress is an 11" tall vampire doll.  The top part of the doll is made of muslin and then painted.  The skirt is given shape by a wire support that is draped with strips of silk and ribbon in a manner to highlight the interesting structure beneath.  The wings are made from stiffened silk on a wire skeleton that was then lightly colored with markers.
